db indexes

Post by timoline » Sun Aug 03, 2014 6:41 pm

As far as I can remeber from a previous (joomla)project, we created indexes in the database to improve performance...

for example the ticket_history table

1 id
2 user_id -> create an index
3 ticket_id -> create an index
4 changes
5 comments
6 created at

But maybe its something for traq 4.x

I plan to do this in Traq 4.0 with the new way database changes are handled.

4.0 is using a new framework called Radium, which includes database migrations, which can be seen with the updated plugins table. There's still a lot to do and some changes to make.

When the migration from 3.6 to 4.0 is done, the database structure will be completely updated and indexes will be created.
