Database Error Field 'data' doesn't have a default value

Post by AlexL777 » Fri Mar 25, 2016 7:49 am

Hello Community,

I have recently installed Traq 3.x and when I wanted to comment on a ticket today, I get this error message.

Code: Select all

    Database Error
Field 'data' doesn't have a default value
    INSERT INTO `timeline` (`project_id`, `owner_id`, `action`, `user_id`, `created_at`) VALUES('1', '1', 'ticket_comment', '1', '2016-03-24 20:28:24')
    Powered by Avalon

How do you fix?

I have Centos 7 root servers, PHP 5.6 and mySQL Community Server for mySQL.

mySQL databases to manage via phpmyadmin.

Can you possibly help me?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for such a late reply. Never had this issue come up before, must have slipped through somewhere.

What it looks like needs to be done to fix the issue is to go into the database and add a default blank value to the "data" column in the "timeline" table.

That error is still there in 3.7, and also occurs when creating a milestone (on field 'changelog' in table 'milestones'). In both cases, setting the column default to Null fixes it.
