Traq 4.0 was supposed to use the Radium framework which is a fork of Avalon, the framework that poweres Traq 3.0, however Radium has been forked / merged / renamed to Avalon 2.0.
Avalon 2.0 has a whole bunch of improvements over the old, or "Classic" version. For starters, its actually versioned and uses the Doctrine DBAL, adding support for a whole bunch of databases.
