I found traq a bit simple. But suitable for my needs.
Yesterday i discovered by chance that when i'm not logged in and i look into a ticket i can delete actions and updates to said tickets.

When i'm NOT logged in. This is a potential thread to any reliable bug tracking and makes traq unreliable and useless at once.

Is this a known issue? Deliberate choice? Or hmm... :dodgy:

You've probably set the guest group's permissions up to allow the deletion of tickets, head to the AdminCP and click on the Users tab then edit the guest group and make sure everything is set to "No".

If the guest group doesn't show up, the installer didn't complete successfully I assume.

There is a group guests and all options are set to "no". I had already checked this but forgot to mention it.

Do you have any managers set for the project? This may be the problem if you don't have any.

I have the same problem.....
I've selected Managers for the project.
